Insect Production Operator

Our mission
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Insect Production Operator to support our insect rearing operations in 84564 Oberbergkirchen, Germany. This role is purely hands-on and focuses on routine production tasks such as pupae exchange, harvesting, cleaning, product packaging, and preparation of deliveries. The Production Operator works closely with the production and R&D team to maintain high-quality standards, meet production quotas, ensure workplace cleanliness, and contribute to the efficiency of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing daily production tasks related to insect production, including harvesting and sieving of larvae, exchange of egg traps and pupae, and more.
  • Perform washing and cleaning of trays, tools, and production areas according to hygiene standards.
  • Support with delivery preparation and loading/unloading.
  • Ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Follow all safety, hygiene, and biosecurity protocols.
  • Work in close collaboration with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
  • Complete basic production checklists and cleaning records.
Your profile
  • Good English skills, German is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in warm and humid environments.
  • No formal degree required – vocational training or experience in production, agriculture, food handling, animal care, or other packaging/operator roles is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends according to the shift plan.
  • Reliable, punctual, and efficient.
  • Comfortable working with insects and organic materials.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class B).
