Insect Production Operator

Our mission

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Insect Production Operator to support our insect rearing operations in 84564 Oberbergkirchen, Germany. This role is purely hands-on and focuses on routine production tasks such as pupae exchange, harvesting, cleaning, product packaging, and preparation of deliveries. The Production Operator works closely with the production and R&D team to maintain high-quality standards, meet production quotas, ensure workplace cleanliness, and contribute to the efficiency of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing daily production tasks related to insect production, including harvesting and sieving of larvae, exchange of egg traps and pupae, and more.
Perform washing and cleaning of trays, tools, and production areas according to hygiene standards.
Support with delivery preparation and loading/unloading.
Ensure proper waste disposal.
Follow all safety, hygiene, and biosecurity protocols.
Work in close collaboration with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
Complete basic production checklists and cleaning records.

Your profile

Good English skills, German is an advantage.
Physically fit and comfortable working in warm and humid environments.
No formal degree required – vocational training or experience in production, agriculture, food handling, animal care, or other packaging/operator roles is an advantage.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness to work weekends according to the shift plan.
Reliable, punctual, and efficient.
Comfortable working with insects and organic materials.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license (Class B).
